My first isopods
Start with the home you can provide, then choose the species and number of animals. Our first-colony setup and arrival checklist walks through habitat preparation, receiving the animals, and simple observations. Compare pill bugs and sowbugs, then browse live isopods by count. Animal packs do not automatically include a habitat or food.
I’m planning a classroom activity
Work backward from the activity: species, number of stations, animals per station, care after the lesson, and the date needed. Use the classroom count guide and species comparison. For a larger or time-sensitive request, contact us with the species, quantity, destination, and preferred date so availability can be checked before you rely on a delivery plan.
I want red wigglers
Prepare a suitable worm bin before choosing a pack. Small counts can be useful for observation or a modest start; they do not imply immediate processing of a household’s food scraps.
